- After downloading, open the local archive. Check images, links between pages and offline navigation.
Scope and considerations
Archives can retain HTML, images, CSS and downloadable JavaScript. Live APIs, sign-in, checkout and server operations may not work offline. Subpage coverage depends on selected depth and site boundaries.
Questions and answers
How is this different from a screenshot?
A screenshot is one image. An archive aims to create a navigable local copy with the pages and resources it can retrieve.
Can archiving work without internet?
The initial download needs internet. Afterwards you can open the saved resources offline, except features that depend on a server.
