Using clipboard history on Mac

Keep an earlier snippet within reach after copying the next link. FilePilot’s clipboard panel helps you find captured copies and reuse them. Follow the workflow from enabling capture to selecting the right entry.

Clipboard history or recent files?

Use the clipboard to retrieve copied content. Use Recent Work to return to a file you opened or edited. Look for the document in recent files and for a snippet copied from it in the clipboard.

If an entry is missing

Check capture settings and the active filter first. Try copying fresh sample text. If the problem persists, report the app version and reproduction steps through Report an Issue; you do not need to share your real clipboard content.

How to use it

  1. Check that clipboard capture is enabled in FilePilot’s quick access settings. History starts while capture is active; it does not recover items copied before capture began.
  2. Copy some sample text and a link. Open the clipboard panel and check for the new entries.
  3. Narrow the list by text, link or image. Preview the content before selecting the entry you need.
  4. Copy the entry again and paste it into the destination app. Use the panel’s deletion controls to remove sensitive entries when finished.

Scope and considerations

Clipboard history is not a password vault. Consider what you copy before enabling capture. The website’s sample clipboard does not read your computer’s clipboard.
